I try to explain how 50% of our DNA is our parents, 25% is our
grandparents, 12.5% is our greats, and so on.

Someone at Ancestry.com got really creative and used children's wood blocks
to illustrate DNA inheritance. You can see how some grandchildren don't
have what the other grandchildren have (DNA speaking, that is).
