Hello, I hope someone here could offer some help with the father's last name abbreviation for the marriage. What I read from the marriage is: Pedro de Faria son of Pedro [Joao/Goas] and his wife Maria Pereira. I'm not sure is the last name is an abbreviation or just "Joao".
The ancestor is Alferes Pedro de Faria (b. ~1729 d. 18-Apr-1784) married to Rita Maria Andrade. I found a Pedro born on 17/19 Jan 1729 son of Pedro Goncalves(z) and Maria de Freitas which falls within his birth range however there is a discrepancy with the parents names. It is possible that the father is Pedro Joao Goncalves and the mother Maria [Pereira de Freitas/de Freitas Pereira].
