I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas of where the Mendonca surname on Corvo may have originated from?
I have traced my Mendonca line as far back as the records go (mid 1600's) to Gaspar de Mendonca who was born approx. 1630 and died 15 May 1689 in Corvo. His wife was Barbara Roiz (Rodrigues). Are there any of the genealogias that touch upon Corvo?
