Hi Lee,

For the more difficult to read records, you really need to save it to your computer and use a better viewing program. That way you can really zoom in close. It usually eliminates any issues with poor eyes of the viewer.

I found it interesting how the priest gave two versions of Pereira - the full spelling and the abbreviation.

You might find both sets of parents were also married in Flamengos, but if you have trouble finding one or both of them, back track by finding one or many baptisms of their children. You might find the mother is from somewhere else and if you didn't find them marrying in Flamengos, they possibly married in her village.

Thanks, Doug.  I was pretty sure about Antonio's parents; but wasn't sure about Anna Rosa's....especially her mother Catherina - the abbreviation they used looked like gibberish to me...looked kind of like cvv or something....when you've had four surgeries on your eyes over the past few years things don't look the same to you as they do to others.

 

Now for the fun of finding the parents marriage records...lol
