Hello everyone. The link is to a Ribeira Seca marriage record. I need
help with the bride's parentage. "Maria Ignacio Machado is the daughter
of Maria Machado wife of " and then I am not sure of why the word
"livre" is used in connection with Maria Machado's husband. I see
that the couple is related in either the 3rd or 4th degree (not sure).
Can someone please translate from the bride's mother down, and explain
why the use of livre?

Thank you very much for any help.
Suzanne
