Hermano - I would appreciate any information on Anna Joaquina. I'm not sure yet if she and Anna de Jesus Tavares are the same person yet, but strongly think they may be. I've found very few Maiatos in Rabo so far.
By chance, did Anna Joaquina have a sister named Joaquina Iganacia who married Joao da Costa Maiato? They had a daughter Marianna born October 29, 1857. The record states Joaquina is the daughter of Francisco Tavares de Brum and Umbelina Rosa. Joao da Cista Maiato is listed as the son of Manoel da Costa Maiato and Quiteria de Jesus. All that I know so far is that Ventura Pacheco de Mello was born in March 1885 (the 3rd, I think) the son of Francisco Oacheco de Mello and Rita de Jesus. Maternal grandparents were Manoel da Costa Maiato and Ana de Jesus Tavares (Anna Joaquina?). Paternal of Francisco Pacheco de Mello and Helena Isabel (or as I've found so far Helena Isabel, Elena Isabel, Elena Rosa AND as Elena Thomazia!! Her name is driving me crazy lol). I think you are correct that when Francisco de Mekko and Rosa married in 1911 it may have been a second marriage for both.
