I found the marriage record for my great grandparents, Manuel do Rego Lopes and Maria da Conceicao Silva. I can't read Portuguese, but I do recognize the name Manuel do Couto Martins, Junior. I would like to know if he was a witness or what relation he was to the bride and groom. His name also appears on my grandmother's birth record as her godparent. Any assistance is appreciated.
