He is from the freguesia(parish) of Nossa Senhora da Piedade(Piedade for short) concelho Vila das Lajes(county of the Village of Lajes). The church would by Nossa Senhora da Piedade, it isn't in the Vila of Lajes but it is in the concelho(county of the Vila of Lajes, there is a distinction).
