I don’t know how they added the last name Loura, it could be that someone did claim him after his birth, but that might have been noted on his birth record. It could be to distinguish him from another Antonio Resendes in the same village. I do have the Loura line back to early 1500’s when they were known as Lourenco. The name Loura I have found in the mid 1500’s when a descendant known as Protezilau Loura is found in Vila do Porto. He has Inis DOB: 1589 and Cosme found, but t also states he had many unknown children besides these two that are listed.
