Manoel, Capt. Braz Monis Pereira fo Joao Camelo Pereira and Dona Barbara Monis de Battencout was padrinho to my 5th g-grandfather, Manoel Pereira. Manoel was the son of Manoel Furtado Seixas & Maria Pereira (no marriage for them--6th mo. gap in records). There seems to be close ties of this family to Manoel Furtado's family. Do you know of any Furtados connected to the Camelo Pereiras? I did find a Manoel Furtado for padrinho for one of their children born in Fernais da Ajuda. Also, I just found Joao Camelo Pereira e Barbara Monis' marriage, however their daughter, Maria was born way before they married! Tell what you think.
