(Cross posted to Azores, Madeira, and IslandRoutes lists) Family Tree DNA (FTDNA) is changing the matching formula for Family Finder. This is the autosomal DNA test that covers all lines of the testee back about 200 years.
Currently, one must have 20 cMs total and the longest block must be at least 7.69 cMs. (One percent of users had a slightly different threshold). Currently, they are testing to show all your matches below 20 cMs total as long as the longest block is at least 9 cMs. If the longest block is greater than 9 cMs, the match will always show regardless of the total.
