However, it's not FTDNA's fault that people don't email back. The same
thing happens on AncestryDNA and 23andMe as well. Not everyone answers
back. Sometimes it's them and sometimes it's the sender.

If someone is managing multiple kits and the email says "Hi I match you"
they have no idea who "you" is. If you state "Hi I'm matching Fred G.
Jones" then they have a starting point.
