Hello again, Theresa: You helped me out once before on the LIMA name in Santa Maria. At that time I thought IF my husband's last name was Lima, THEN his paternal ancestors would ALL be Lima's. Haha. 😀😀. What a joke. I've since learned the my husband's gr gr grandfather, Antonio Jose de Lima's paternal line descends from this Sebastiaom Jacome de Resendes. (That's how his obit reads - Jacome Resendes).
Thanks for the info on Sebastiaom and Maria da Costa's children. I did not have Manoel's birth. Did you realize Sebastiaom would have been 13 when he and Maria had Manoel(?). Doesn't that seem strange? He died in 1735 and the obit says he was 60 more or less --so his (Sebastiaom's) birth would be around 1675. I'll have to find Manoel's birth record. Do you have it accessible and be able to share it?
