Just a little confusion. You can discount the first and last baptisms you
posted. They are not part of your lines.
Manuel, *so far* is the only child that was was born in Faial da Terra
proper [see chart below], while the parents and the other children lived
and were born in Agua Retorta in a small place called Lomba das Fagundas.
At the time they simply referred to Agua Retorta as a village that was part
of the freguesia of Faial da Terra. This has and continues to cause much
confusion for researchers of Faial da Terra and Agua Retorta.
If you don't find more children for this couple in Agua Retorta, it may
be they were born elsewhere (Faial da Terra proprer) or one of the parents
died or some other reason. I will send what I have. What you see here is
from the sources you posted.

NS de Penha de Franca.
