Hi All!

I've been to two previous Azores conferences but I'm now getting
re-energized for another possible one with much thanks to Edna who quite
possibly found my great-grandfather John Sylvia in the Graciosa baptism
records (link:
http://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/GRA-SC-GUADALUPE-B-1841-1850/GRA-SC-GUADALUPE-B-1841-1850_item1/P105.html)
and now what appears to be a sister of his from 1841. So this has me going
back into the records and attempting to decipher what I can. The first two
conferences I went to helped me a lot but I think I need more practice.
Much of this all came about thanks to a newly posted close DNA match to a
Da Silva. I'm seeing a lot of new DNA matches (yay!) and these are really
helping me to break down barriers. I just wish more of them would upload
to GEDMatch.

BTW, is anyone going to RootsTech next month? If so let me know as I will
be there and we compare notes.
