Since we have many new to this list (and for those wanting a review), I will explain how the Azores are organized so you'll know where to look.
The Azores are an autonomous region of Portugal, comprised of 9 islands: Santa Maria, Sao Miguel, Terceira, Graciosa, Sao Jorge, Pico, Faial, Flores, and Corvo. The Madeira islands (Madeira and Porto Santo) are a separate autonomous region of Portugal and are not part of the Azores archipelago. Neither are the Cape Verde islands, which is their own nation today. The 9 Azores islands are divided into 3 districts or administrative zones: Ponta Delgada (eastern) comprised of Sao Miguel and Santa Maria islands (Sao Miguel holds about half the Azores population). Angra do Herisomo (central) comprised of Terceira, Graciosa, and Sao Jorge (Terceira is the 2nd most populous island). Horta (western) comprised of Pico, Faial, Flores and Corvo. Each island may have one or more councils. They are similar to American counties (not sure what Canadians have that is similar). Santa Maria island has Vila do Porto Sao Miguel island has Lagoa, Nordeste, Ponta Delgada, Povoacao, Ribeira Grande, and Vila Franca do Campo Terceira island has Angra do Heroismo and Praia da Vitoria Graciosa island has Santa Cruz da Graciosa Sao Jorge island has Calheta and Velas Faial island has Horta Pico island has Lajes do Pico, Madalena, and Sao Roque do PIco Flores island has Lajes das Flores and Santa Cruz das Flores Corvo has Vila Nova Within each council are the freguesias (fregh (rhymes with Greg) - Z- ahs). They are the villages. That's a brief summary of how the Azores are organized.
