Eric S, Since I can see your DNA page with your match, I'll use the FTDNA numbers. Your match may be something like a 3C2R or maybe further. There's not good data out there for 4th, 5th, etc cousins. Maybe more people submitted their cMs for Blaine Bettinger's study and maybe he'll be able to report 4C and 4C1R data to us this time. We'll have to wait and see.
In the meantime, you'll probably have to go back to the 4 greats to figure it out. Maybe 1-2 generations more. That's my best guess based on what others have found.
