The first name of Calhetas was Calhetas de Rabo de Peixe. It means the Calhetas area belonged to Bom Jesus, Rabo de Peixe jurisdiction… problably, if records exist should be in Rabo de Peixe. Then they were part of Pico da Pedra too. Only around 1920s they became a full Freguesia…
