(Cross posted to Azores, Madeira, and Island Routes) Last year, I found out about PracticePortuguese.com, and online European Portuguese learning language site. It has a variety of activities, such as clicking on the picture, filling in the blank, putting the sentence in order, and listening to the whole sentence and typing it in Portuguese. I thought I'd try it. It grabbed me so I signed up (it's around $12 USD a month. It's billed out of Portugal, so I had to OK the charge on my credit card the first 3 or so months and now my credit card is OK with it).
The two guys who host this, Rui, a native of Portugal, and Joel, a native of Canada, have released 2 free units to try. No need to sign up, or give them a credit card number, nothing. Just try it out. And if it grabs you, maybe you'll sign up. If not, there are many others out there too, although I don't know if they have a couple of sample units for free.
