Hi All, A question was raised in my class at the DAR Conference this year. The question by Don Vasconcelos, was what does the priest in Norte Grande, Sao Jorge mean when he writes Jovem or Parvulo in the margin notes. I looked them up in my Portuguese Dictionary and here is the meanings it lists:
Jovem--young, youthful, juvenile, a young man or woman Parvulo--child, innocent, humble Looking back at my records it seems that he writes "parvulo" for a child who is under 2 years and then "jovem" is for over 2 but still not an adult. I never have really figured out how old the oldest age may be.
