Gloria T, I don't know. Elaine said you had all the info. So if you know your ancestor is from Ginetes, then that's your freguesia. Go to Tombo.pt on the date you have for Ginetes and find a few Marias.
You ancestor has a common name. I can find a few of them within 3 or 4 years of what you think your parameters are. Please read the article in the first response that I provided to you.
