I was interrupted by dinner but the Church where the ceremony was performed was St Patrick Church in Somerset, MA. Espirito Santo in Fall River would have no record of the Marriage.

Eric, I believe the two attached records are your family. Stella and Manuel had a child named Olive and comparing the records, the marriage is a good match with the birth record of the one for Olive. believe the other file is their marriage. It shows the marriage took place on 19 Jul 1919 in Somerset. The marriage may not have taken place in Fall River. They are giving her husband’s name as Manuel Silva Raposa. I looked all through the records and this is the closest I could find. I don't understand why you say that you don't know where she is from but then go on to say most of your family is from Arrifes and Lagoa. Here's a list of things to look into (a how-to from the Azores GenWeb): https://goo.gl/dGG4Ar You could write or call Santo Cristo in Fall River and ask them for a copy of what is in the book (if they cannot photocopy it, maybe they can take a picture on a cell and text it to you). I can't remember if Massachusetts falls under the 90 year rule (if so, you should be able to obtain it) or the 100 year rule (you'd have to wait until next year). You want what is in the book, as the bride may have stated the village where she was from. Maybe they can just tell you that part over the phone. The U.S. Censuses will give her year of immigration and naturalization. If she did not naturalize and lived until 1940, she had to file the paperwork for the Smith Act/Alien Registration. Immigration, naturalization, and alien registration are things to look into as well. IF (giant IF) she is consistent on her immigration year, you *might* be able to find her emigrating from the Azores - IF (giant IF) the records exist. My french side is all but finished and have been slowly working at my Portuguese side. My one specific brickwall has been my Maternal Great Grandmother Mary Stella Raposa Barboza (Decosta is her maiden name) married to Manuel Raposa Barbosa. I'm just looking for some help to find info on her parents, whose names I don't know. I know Stella was born in the Azores but sure exactly where. Most of my side is from Arrifes and one grandfather in Lagoa but no record of her there as far as I can tell. Doesn't help that her name is Mary lol. I heard If I could find a marriage record they usually are located in the brides town, but she was married in Fall River Ma Her Birth is 1900 and Marriage 1919. Just looking for some tips on where to search next and of course any help would be amazing.
