Rick and Cheri; Thanks so much for this info. Now that you’ve said it, I recall having read that before. If only I had been intelligent enough to do it that way! Now, I have some 5,000 plus names, with a large percentage being Portuguese and I will have to go back and add the back-slashes. Oh, dear! Something to keep me busy, I guess!

Sorting and searching by last name is much easier without the de’s, da’s, do’s, and dos’s, and of course it prints out in the right order. In FTM the last time I used it you had to use I think back-slashes at each end of the last name for example: Maria da Gloria de \Sousa\.
