Karen L, Log into your 23andMe account and go to your account settings to see if you are on v.3 or v4 of their chip. If you are, you can transfer to FamilyTreeDNA as well. About 20% of users from each company upload to GedMatch. So if you want to compare with other companies, you need to test there, or transfer to those who accept the 23 and Me transfers. Testing with more companies is like fishing for cousins in more ponds!
