The Unicode/XML Westminster Leningrad Codex at
<http://www.tanach.us/Tanach.xml>
has been upgraded to version 21.3. Although the underlying text is
unchanged, the text display software has been substantially improved and
made more consistent.
Two site features worth noting are:
1. The site can be operated without the internet by downloading and
unzipping the Tanach.zip file. Internet Explorer won't open this local
version of the site, please use Firefox. See the "Technical" page.
2. The Server provides rapid access to Hebrew text with a low bandwidth
internet connection or on limited-horsepower systems. For example:
<http://www.tanach.us/Server?Gen2:3-5&t1=Server text example>
requires downloading only 5.5 kilobytes and can be displayed on any
browser. See the "Server" page.
Be sure to clear your browser cache before loading this revision.
