"Hiding" means not broadcasting the SSID (like it can be configured for AP mode) and this is not allowed by the current cfg/mac80211 kernel module. It is quite out of the standard and requires some "hacks" that the maintainers will probably never like. Regards, -- Antonio Quartulli
