You could argue that it never did retailers like Amazon any harm, and they wouldn't be in the position they are today without making that data available. They are probably more afraid of competition with themselves - i.e. flight prices change over time, and the customer monitoring the changing prices to try and buy at the right time -- e.g. farecast.com - Sent via the backstage.bbc.co.uk discussion group.
