hard to say... I started with the live.com gadget, then ported that to the other platforms. If I started elsewhere I may have addressed things differently, but as it stood, it was all really quite straightforward. One thing I found useful was the Google NXSL API (their Xpath implementation) - once I used it in the google module, to keep the code as similar as possible I included it in all the other modules as well.
