Don't believe it. The iPhone is exclusive to one network in the US (one without a very good reputation, too), and it's had a ton of apps developed for it in just two weeks. "Only one provider" hasn't stopped many of us developing widgets for iGoogle, or Mac OSX, or... etc. http://james.cridland.net/
