Hi everyone,

First time poster here! I've just started to get into some of the BBC
backstage stuff, especially the RRS feeds. I'm currently working on a
Java-based project using the News RSS feeds, which obviously parse very
nicely. I'm at the point where I'd like to make the connection between
the link behind a given RSS item and actually displaying the news article.

I'd like to keep this displaying part within the Java project if possible
(and if legal too!) however the current format of news articles do not
parse well at all, not to mention are rather difficult to extract from the
surrounding mark-up code. The simplified version suffers from the same
problem, so I was wondering are there any nice html versions or even plain
text versions of the news articles? Or does anyone know of a way around
this problem?

Thanks in advance,

Liam Docherty
