Hybrid Broadcast Broadband (HBB) is a group at the European Broadcasting Union looking at the harmonisation of Canvas, HBBtv, MHEG-5 IPTV, MHP, OIPTV and commercial offerings from the likes of Samsung and Panasonic. There's a brief write-up here http://tech.ebu.ch/docs/tech-i/ebu_tech-i_001.pdf

Aha, I take it the article I linked to should in fact have been referring to Hybrid Broadcast Broadband, rather than Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV, in that case?
