Are there plans to support bacula-fd to backup and restore files? this would be a good alternative to smb/rsync/ssh-tar, it is secure in the way you don't have to store clear test passwords and it runs on Windows and Linux at least.
More over, the bacula-fd should be able to run with the identity of the files to be backed up, thus encrypted files should be backupable :-) and Volume Shadow Copy (VSS) is now (July 2005) implemented in the Bacula Win32 File daemon (not yet released, but being tested). http://www.bacula.org -- Olivier LAHAYE Motorola labs IT manager Saclay, FRANCE ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf _______________________________________________ BackupPC-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/backuppc-users http://backuppc.sourceforge.net/
