Hi,

I have installed backuppc and all is working--Backuppc is awesome!. I decided to browse the backups and see if I could restore a file. Then I seen that the Documents and Settings folders are all empty. These are the most important folders. I am using backuppc and Samba to backup Windows xp and Win2k clients. I have shared the entire drive c: on all of the clients. My backup user is Administrator so why can't backuppc descend into the Documents and Settings folders? Help.

permission problem? please try to connect via samba from the backup server and try to entehr to Document and settings folder.

I'm using rsyncd for yor same service. The inplementation of samba under windows is far to be secure, so please consider to use rsyncd for that... work great!

best,
MaX
