FWIW, we use BackupPC with rsyncd clients of both Windows and Linux flavor. We
regularly backup large .iso files > 3.5 GB without issue across both
platforms.

Our server is running Slackware 10 with a custom 2.6.14 kernel over GB
ethernet. Server uses ReiserFS and Perl is configured w/ large file support.
Our client machines are mostly laptop t41 or dell desktops running WinXP. We
use the backuppc-rsyncd client on Windows machines and latest rsync on the
server.
