Hi everyone.
I have a file in the cpool with 32000 links. HardLinkMax is set to
31999. Let's assume this is exactly correct, because one link is
reserved for the 'pool'.
However, last night during the second full backup ever for this host, I
got the following kind of error 24081 times:
Unable to link
/data/pc/terranova/0/f%2f/fexport/fsmbshare/fpcdrive/fdwiech/fjesse/fcvswork/fpwstat/fCVS/fRoot
to
/data/pc/terranova/new//f%2f/fexport/fsmbshare/fpcdrive/fdwiech/fjesse/fcvswork/fpwstat/fCVS/fRoot
The file is a 'cvsroot' file, 'sandbox/module/CVS/Root', and since the
same exact file exists in every subdirectory of every checked out
project for every user on our system, this files gets a TON of links.
Does the above mean that the HardLinkMax isn't working for a subsequent
full backup of an existing host?
Note: the link that is failing is NOT from the pool to a backup
directory, but from one backup directory to another.
