Good question. Unfortunately I've been extremely busy most of this year, and BackupPC hasn't made much progress. CVS should now be pretty stable - I just added some tweaks last weekend. I'm hoping to get some time soon to get 3.0beta0 out. I'm reviewing the todo list and there are still some things to add and bugs to fix. If I defer some features to after 3.0 then the release will be sooner. My goal is the next month or so.
