Sorry to reply to myself...the exclusions in the \ (backslash) version DO 
work. I just realized that I was erroneously still looking at the old 
(wrong) logfile... :(

I think the docs should mention that, for smb, a backslash must be used.

Anyway, the summary still shows 3 errors:

write_data: write failure. Error = Connection reset by peer
write_socket: Error writing 39 bytes to socket 5: ERRNO = Connection 
reset by peer
Error writing 39 bytes to client. -1 (Connection reset by peer)

Is this expected?
