Let me start off with sorry if this has been answered and I didn't find
it in the archives, I'm betting someone else has already asked, but here
it is anyway.

I had an instance of BackupPC running for nearly a year and had to stop
for various silly reasons. Since I stopped, all the end user machine
there were being backed up have changed names. There were something
like _<username> and are now just <username>. What I'm wondering is if
I can update the configs, and rename the various host directories and
have BackupPC continue to work with the machines without any big hassles?

And, is upgrading to the 3.0 beta going to have any issues *known* with
the old backup directory tree?

Worst case I start creating new backups for the machines which have been
renamed, but I have a particularly important user who needs to restore
some files from his old backups and being able to put them back directly
on his machine without a bunch of hassle would be ideal.

Thanks
David
