Can you be more specific about what XferMethod you are using, and the exact error message? What program reports them as "dangling"? Perhaps the symlink gets created before the target file, which should be ok. After the restore is complete is the symlink correct or not? Perhaps you are restoring to a different directory, in which case any absolute symlinks would now point to the wrong place.
