Hello, I'm trying to track down a backuppc issue. Recently our windows file server is starting to get the "child prematurely exited" error. We're backing it up via rsyncd running on the windows machine.
Here's the snip from the 'BackupC_dump -v -f hostname' command: ---------------------------- same 644 400/401 27212288 USERS/...FILENAME.... Read EOF: Tried again: got 0 bytes finish: removing in-process file USERS/...FILENAME.... Child is aborting Parent read EOF from child: fatal error! Done: 287538 files, 133327795167 bytes Got fatal error during xfer (Child exited prematurely) ---------------------------- Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas on a solution? Is there anyway to tell rsync to try a to read the file a few more times? Could it be a bad file on the server and we need to run chkdsk on the server (haven't tried that yet).
