Hi John, Yep, rsync works very sweetly.
I use it on all my other boxes including windows and linux desktops. My problem is I can't install rsync on this particular server. It needs to stay the way it is.. Its not a complete train smash that I get an error when running a backup of that machine (it copies all the data any way) but would be sweet if it would work with freebsd's version of tar.
