Hi Paul,

I run BackupPC on my workstation and use it to backup 2 machines (the
workstation and a server) to an external hard drive (attached to the
workstation).

As I understand it, BackupPC has two main sets of scripts - the
user interface and the backup scripts.

I access the UI via virtual host backuppc.osagesoftware.com. Apache
defines the virtual host through
file /etc/apache2/vhosts.d/10_BackupPC.conf. This puts the UI at
http://backuppc.osagesoftware.com/cgi-bin/BackupPC_Admin.

Most of the UI scripts are in directory
/usr/share/webapps/backuppc/3.0.0_beta3/hostroot/cgi-bin. As the URL
indicates the main UI script is BackupPC_Admin (which appears in 2
places - /var/www/localhost/cgi-bin/BackupPC_Admin
and /usr/share/webapps/backuppc/3.0.0_beta3/hostroot/cgi-bin/BackupPC_Admin).

The scripts that perform the actual work of backups are in /usr/bin.

Unfortunately my beta3 installation is presently b0rked (the "unix
bind" problem I posted last night). I wish I could give you more info.

The info above is based on a Gentoo installation. I'm not sure how
closely that follows BackupPC's default locations. If you'd like a
copy of the output generated during the install, I can post that.

HTH.

Regards,

David
