I used to backup Windows XP machines using Windows software (Cobian backup).
As number of PCs grow backups were very slow and Server became unstable.
Especially when all (20+ PCs) were sending data at the same time.
Now with BackupPC I think this would be much better as server is the one
grabing files from workstations.
I found out how to use rsyn and rsyncd. How does this effect speed ? rsync
through samba vs. rsync - rsyncd ?
This command works and I can see content of my share folder: smbclient
\\\\mywindowsbox\\sharefoldername -U userthathasaccestosharedfolder
What do I have to put in config.pl to get my backups to work.
