Hi Chris and all, I'm compiling on SuSE 10.2 Linux and I've just tried to install the File::RsyncP (version 0.68, then 0.66 and finally 0.64 !) module but 'make' just stops with the following error:
bwrbaks2:~/File-RsyncP-0.68 # perl Makefile.PL Writing Makefile for File::RsyncP::Digest Writing Makefile for File::RsyncP::FileList Writing Makefile for File::RsyncP bwrbaks2:~/File-RsyncP-0.68 # make make[1]: Entering directory `/root/File-RsyncP-0.68/Digest' cc -c -D_REENTRANT -D_GNU_SOURCE -DTHREADS_HAVE_PIDS -DDEBUGGING -fno-strict-aliasing -pipe -Wdeclaration-after-statement -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -O2 -march=i586 -mtune=i686 -fmessage-length=0 -Wall -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -g -Wall -pipe -DVERSION=\"0.68\" -DXS_VERSION=\"0.68\" -fPIC "-I/usr/lib/perl5/5.8.8/i586-linux-thread-multi/CORE" -DPERL_BYTEORDER=1234 Digest.c make[1]: *** [Digest.o] Segmentation fault make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/File-RsyncP-0.68/Digest' make: *** [subdirs] Error 2 Other modules compiled without error, eg.
