Subject: [BackupPC-users] Cannot run BackupPC_dump from command line
I have searched the archive, but had no success. I am unable to run
BackupPC_dump from the command line, and have to do so to figure out why
it is not backing up my Windows XP desktop. Here is what has been tried.
A "su backuppc" does not work - the system prompts for a password and
the Apache password set up on installation does not work.

Become root, then become backuppc. root
does not need a user's password to become that user. Therefore:
su
su backuppc
That's the quick and dirty
way.
