Hi, I am running Fedora Core 7 and installed BackupPC as part of the distribution. I never really did anything with it since the configuration was confusing me a lot. But then someone suggested that I upgrade to BackupPC 3.0 as that version (apparently) allows you to configure the whole thing through a browser while running the BackupPC cgi script.
Well, I downloaded the version 3.0 and upgraded. I start my apache and when I go to the URL assigned to BackupPC, I get: "Error: Unable to connect to BackupPC server" title/screen. I was trying to look for some logs on what is going wrong, but the error logs don't really tell me much. In fact, it doesn't show any errors at all. I check in /var/log/BackupPC and there are no log files there whatsoever. Can someone point me in the right direction here?
