I've never been able to make rsync work under sshd on windows whether
run by backuppc or manually, although it works the other direction when
you run start rsync on the windows side and it uses ssh to connect to
sshd on Linux. Sometimes the transfer will start but it stalls quickly
with both ends waiting for something. Running rsyncd in standalone
daemon mode will work, though, and if encryption is important you can
connect through a tunnel established by ssh port-forwarding.
