Using macports, I actually have two installs of perl. One in /usr/bin/
perl and one in /opt/local/bin/perl.
BackupPC is configured and compiled against /opt/local/bin/perl
(though I've verified that the needed packages are available on both
installs).
The location of BackupPC's perl has not changed (/opt/local/bin/perl).
