This is not a UID problem (I think).
I had the same issue with a test server I tried first, but abandoned when it
gave "error -4" to every file in BackupPC_link and ended up with an empty pool.
That was a slow old box with a small SCSI RAID so I was using the even slower
120GB IDE drive (ext3) for /var/lib/BackupPC. symlinked from the real /var/lib,
after the pool had worked OK there, running out of space.
Anyone seen that -4 before?
Anyway, the cpool works OK on the "final" server (testing just 3 clients) but
the admin webpage shows 0 jobs, 0 clients, etc. as before, with no errors at
all, even about users. All the logs and backup lists look fine on disc.
Any ideas?
