a simpler solution is to use the free program Deltacopy, which is a nice
packaging of rsync with a GUI. You install it and then set it up to run as
a service as the admin user. You may select the directories to backup via a
GUI and start and stop the service via the GUI. This option works perfectly
with all windows versions that I have tried (XP-vista-s2003ts-s2008ts).
